# How to Create a Simple CRM System in GudHub

In this tutorial, you will learn how to create a simple CRM system in **GudHub** for managing customers, contact information, deals, and statuses.

## What You Will Build

By the end of this tutorial, you will have a CRM with the following structure:

- Customers
- Contacts
- Deals
- Deal statuses
- Assigned managers

## Requirements

Before you start, make sure you have:

- a GudHub account;
- a created application;
- permission to edit the application structure.

---

## Step 1. Create a New Application

Log in to GudHub and open the **Applications** section.

Click **Create Application** and enter the following name:

> Customer CRM

After creating the application, you will see an empty application where you can build your own data structure.

---

## Step 2. Create a Customers Table

Create a new element for storing customer information.

We recommend adding the following fields:

| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Text | Customer's full name |
| Company | Text | Company name |
| Email | Email | Customer's email address |
| Phone | Phone | Customer's phone number |
| Status | Select | Current customer status |
| Manager | User | Assigned manager |
| Created At | Date | Record creation date |

### Example Statuses

For the `Status` field, you can use the following values:

```text
New
In Progress
Waiting for Response
Successfully Completed
Closed
```

***

## Step 3. Add Your First Customer

Create a new record and enter the following test data:

```
Name: John Smith
Company: Example Company
Email: john@example.com
Phone: +1 555 123 4567
Status: New
```

After saving the record, it will appear in your CRM.

***

## Step 4. Configure Data Display

GudHub allows you to configure how your information is displayed.
For a CRM, you can use:

* tables for viewing all customers;
* cards for quickly viewing customer information;
* filters for finding specific customers;
* sorting by creation date;
* grouping by status.

For example, customers can be grouped like this:

```
New
  └── John Smith
In Progress
  ├── Anna Johnson
  └── Michael Brown
Successfully Completed
  └── Sarah Wilson
```

***

## Step 5. Add a Filter

Create a filter that displays only customers with the **In Progress** status.
The condition can be represented as:

```
Status = "In Progress"
```

This allows managers to quickly see the customers they currently need to work with.

> **Tip:** Use filters to create dedicated views for different roles and business processes.

***

## Step 6. Assign a Manager

For each customer, you can assign a responsible team member.
For example:

```
Customer: John Smith
Status: In Progress
Manager: Olivia
```

This helps distribute responsibility and prevents customers from being left without an assigned manager.

***

## Recommended CRM Structure

For a larger system, you can use the following structure:

```
CRM
├── Customers
│   ├── Contact Information
│   ├── Company
│   └── Assigned Manager
│
├── Deals
│   ├── Name
│   ├── Customer
│   ├── Amount
│   └── Status
│
├── Tasks
│   ├── Name
│   ├── Assignee
│   ├── Due Date
│   └── Status
│
└── Managers
    ├── Name
    ├── Email
    └── Role
```

***

## Example Automation

When a customer changes their status to **Successfully Completed**, you can trigger an additional process.
For example:

```
if (customer.status === 'Successfully Completed') {
    console.log('Deal successfully completed');
}
```

This logic can be extended to automatically create tasks, send notifications, or update other data.

***

## What Can You Do Next?

After creating the basic CRM, you can add:

1. Automatic task creation.
2. Manager notifications.
3. A sales pipeline.
4. Dashboards and analytics.
5. Automated email notifications.
6. User access management.
7. Integrations with external services.
